just happy little accidents.

I was born in Washington, grew up in Montana, and now I am living my 9th (non-consecutive years) in Alaska, a place I now call home. I attained my bachelor's degree in K12 Art Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2010.

Instead of teaching art after graduating, I chose to pursue a chapter in my life that would be filled with adventures and traveling. I spent 3 years in the eastern sierra mountains, then traveled in my 21ft RV to Utah, Arizona and California, where I pursued trail running, adventuring and painting. I landed back in Montana for a handful of years where I continued to seek out creative opportunities and establish full time employment working in partnership with Glacier National Park. I'm so happy to be back up north in Alaska, where the adventures of life, opportunities, weather and daylight never grow old.

My creative style is bright, cheery, and simple subjects that are fun for me to paint and for others to enjoy. My experience and education lead me to paint with acrylic and watercolors, but I do love to draw and paint with all the mediums. With that being said, I never know what's going to happen on a blank canvas or sheet of paper. It's always a journey.

I've painted dozens of commissioned paintings and landed a couple large mural jobs while I was in the northwest. I spent some time volunteering and teaching art lessons at a little country school in Montana. It was through my travels, varying jobs, adventures and constantly pushing myself creatively that I grew as a person and an artist. While teaching is fun and rewarding, creating is my strength and joy.

A little bit more...
I'm small, but mighty. I'm often happy, kind and optimistic. I consume fruits and vegetables ALL the time. I used to run lots and lots. Now, I walk lots and lots. I love to travel. I love people, but really enjoy being by myself. I love all animals, big and small. I make lists...all the time. It's an 'organized-Tiffany-system.' I cherish every sunny day and starry night. I love movies, crime documentaries and inspiring podcasts. Each day I prioritize my mental, physical, and spiritual health before I do anything else. I love getting fun letters, cards and gifts in the mail. Send me something! It makes me very happy. I think I'm funny, like my dad.
I have wrinkles on my face. I like them though. If you want to hang out, just mention a smoothie, coffee, chocolate, popcorn, or a walk...I'll be there.
